A short word on New Zealand toilets
With all the debate in North America around "low-flow" toilets and whether or not the really are more efficient New Zealand has adopted an excellent solution which I believe also exists in much of Europe. Dual-flush. Simply there are two handles on the toilet. The first gives a low flow flush, the second provides a full flush for those times when you need it. Perfect! And yet these peopel can not figure out how to make hot and cold water come out of one tap. They have the toilets of the future here and the sinks of 1930.

For the record, my father has this same kind of dual-flush toilet. Of course, he lives on the west coast, and if there's any Canadians gonna get into that kinda thing first, you know it's those BC types.
